One book cannot be fully representative. Further editions will appear every three years. The books will feature European landscape design that displays high professional standards and stimulates the imagination of the reader. They will illustrate the state of the art while representing the work of landscape architects across Europe.
The second edition of Landscape Architecture Europe is currently being planned by the European Foundation for Landscape Architecture and the LAE Foundation, chaired by Meto J. Vroom. There will again be an open call for entries and the projects will be selected by a jury under the presidency of Michael van Gessel. The book will be edited by a team led by Lisa Diedrich, produced by Harry Harsema’s team in Wageningen and published in early 2009.
To expand the potential readership and make the book more European in character, the team intends to publish Spanish, Italian and Russian versions as well as the current English, German, French and Dutch editions.
Entries for the second edition of Landscape Architecture Europe are welcome following publication of the call for entries in early summer 2007.
